Techno-Economic Assessment of a 100 kWp Solar Rooftop PV System for Five Hospitals in Central Southern Thailand

This paper presents a techno-economic assessment of 100 kWp solar rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system at five hospitals in central southern Thailand. The encompasses PV panels, kW grid-tied inverters and balance (BOS) under the grid code Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). latest technology bifacial mono-crystalline BOS were simulated along with Meteonorm 7.3 database using PVsyst simulation toolkit different tilt angles, orientations, radiations ambient temperature. technical aspects power generation systems include annual energy output performance ratio (PR) IEC standard. Further, an economic analysis model was examined cost benefit (CBA) various assumptions. Four main financial criteria, i.e., (BCR), net present value (NPV), internal rate return (IRR), payback period (PBP) evaluated three scenarios: (1) self-consumption scheme, (2) feed-in tariff (FiT) (3) private purchase agreement (PPA) scheme. Finally, levelized (LCOE) also calculated. results reveal that Takua Thung hospital is characterized by maximum average global horizontal irradiation (GHI) produced 199 kWh/m2 164.8 MWh/year, respectively. PR calculated for all sites above 85%. outcomes show optimum scenarios are PPA FiT schemes. LCOE analysed this study indicates site has lowest 2.47 THB/kWh (0.07 USD/kWh). research confirms potential stakeholders Thailand investments
